Mossy is a VW split that is in need of TLC but has basically sound chassis and platform. All mechanicals have been removed and it has FC Holden front suspension and rear  axle which is mounted on standard spring plates and uses the original torsion bar suspension.

It was re-licenced as a caravan and was towed on special drawbar with the front wheels tracking the towing vehicle.

Mossy has been standing unused for at least 15 years , possibly 20 and when we discovered him we were surprised at condition.

When we started to clean rubbish etc out  we found spider webs and an ant nest under chipboard floor in rear so it must have stayed fairly dry in there and kept the dreaded rust away.

We are possibly past the stage of completely rebuilding ourselves and have decided to sell though we have a 1972 1600 Kombi van with sound mechanicals which we think could be transferred and we will continue to work on him while open for sensible offers.

We are having quote done for bead blast of whole body which will make it far easier to work and you can also clearly see what is needed to be done.

Mossy's Chassis No. is  297090 which makes him  October 1957 manufacture.
